As the snow is melting, and maybe falling again, we are preparing for Spring. There are two opportunities for volunteers to get involved at Starr Garden to prepare for the warm weather.
The Mayor’s Clean up day is scheduled for Saturday, April 10th, 2010 and the Department of Parks and Recreation’s clean up event LOVE Your Park is scheduled for Saturday, May 8th, 2010. On April 10th we would like to focus our efforts on cleaning and preparing our field and play areas. May 8th we would like to focus on spring planting and special projects along with the clean up.
If you would like to get involved in either event please contact me. If you’re group would like to complete a specific project, let me know the proposed details and any equipment or supplies your group would need.
